Bubba had used one of his earned dollars on a candy bucket and it was so full he was carrying it with two hands! We only saw one other Moana and one other Mickey roadster racer, both store-bought costumes so DD said that was cheating.

I painted a bit on her top and skirt and curled her hair and pinned that giant flower in. Bubba's costume is clothes and duct tape.

I made a few costumes, mostly for the younger son who liked to dress up. 1st grade... he liked Perry the Platypus, but wanted to be a natural platypus. It came out great, but not enough people knew what a platypus was, so they kept having to ask, and then said Ohhhhhhhh. He was Harry Potter for 2nd grade... we bought the robe and glasses, but hubs made a light up wand and we went to Salvation Army for a button down shirt and striped tie. He looked great. I have a picture somewhere...
Then 3rd grade was Ash Ketchem from Pokemon. I bought a cheap sweatshirt and a button down shirt at S.Army, cut it up, put them back together, dyed some cheap cotton gloves green and fixed up a ball cap. It came out pretty good.
