Rod said the Rhode Island Whites are mean to the other hens and not laying even medium eggs yet. I think them being mean is enough to cause me to take that breed off my list.

You will like the Australorps. If you don't like barred rocks, maybe you could try white rocks. Similar temperament to the Lorps. New Hamps are good too and I bet you will like your EEs.

Already have the lorps and hew hamps like them both as far as egg production DO NOT like picking black pin feathers of the carcass of the lorps and not sure about the roo's they seem like PITA's Will have to check into the rocks.
