Oh I walked out this morning and found a pile of BR feathers OUTSIDE the coop. I was freaking out looking for a breech in the run. Nope, they were both still inside. I guess the neighbors have seen several coyotes around this week. I thought the worse.

I toss the poopy ones because I would need to scrub them before I put them in my pan and then theres poop in my sink and it all grosses me out so I chunk them.

are they missing feathers ? It might of grabbed the tail or wing.

Mine wipe off easy but it is mud not poop. I usually toss those to Aiden lol

They are molting lol and the feathers in the pile were short ones. Idk where they come from since I can’t find any spots where they’d go.

Can I feed a green pumpkin to the chickens? Cut it in half and toss it in?

have/did you try using an old tire stuffed with hay ?? Just lay it on the ground ?? That is my current plan for the scovies when they get to that point.
