Granny's gone and done it again

Oh I walked out this morning and found a pile of BR feathers OUTSIDE the coop. I was freaking out looking for a breech in the run. Nope, they were both still inside. I guess the neighbors have seen several coyotes around this week. I thought the worse.
 
I toss the poopy ones because I would need to scrub them before I put them in my pan and then theres poop in my sink and it all grosses me out so I chunk them.

are they missing feathers ? It might of grabbed the tail or wing.
 
The jubilees I have lay in the mud. They can get in the nest box. They dont.

have/did you try using an old tire stuffed with hay ?? Just lay it on the ground ?? That is my current plan for the scovies when they get to that point.
