Granny's gone and done it again

ungrateful things. Have you tried putting the "poopy" eggs in what you made so they might get the idea. They after all have bird brains.
yes, for a couple weeks I let them gather there . One went broody IN a nest box without eggs even though there was eggs laid in there she wouldnt take them.

The Ivermectin killed the adults, right? You said nothing was crawling on him when you went to check last night.
So, adult mites died, chicken died, mite eggs hatched, baby mites are now looking for something alive to feed on. Hope you treated your nearby chicks.
To kill these mites, if they are still on the dead bird, poultry dust or whatever you have yo kill them outright. Raid? You still need yo treat all your chickens, because that rooster was surely not the only one with mites. They will feed on treated birds and die. Then you need to retreat in 7 days to kill off any new ones that hatch.

maybe have to start calling you the "mite-inator" :lau

I dont know what I seen. Last night , I seen these white specks on the top of the feathers. this am they were moving. I tossed the chicken and dusted the cage. I dont want to put anything on the babies unless I know what I am supposed to use. Is there a product that kills all no matter what it is ?

Between the dogs, farm cats, chickens and the yaks NOTHING remotely edible actually makes it to the trash/burn pit. Even the coons and skunks we dispose of, every time I throw something in the pit, cats and different type of birds come shoot out from all directions.
