We have all clay but not expecting flooding. Even when the river floods we are well above the flood zone. Are you in a valley?

Yep, quite a steep slope down to the river. All covered in trees to soak up water and hold the soil.

Says to cook soybeans slow for 3 hours before fermenting. I could add a pot full to wheat bucket to increase protein. Mine get lots of cooked dried beans in the table scraps I feed them.
