I think the "rut" is just starting so there is hope. IF I get it back otherwise deer season is done for the year.

I do have another brand new 7mm rifle BUT no sights or scope as I haven't found the scope I want or the money for pay for it. Also want to put a tri-pod legs on the front of the barrel. I want to set it up as sort of a "sniper rifle" and then use my old one for dusk, and road hunting, and walking.

That sounds like a good plan.

LOL I have a couple options in mind to built sort of a "man cave hunting blind" in existing building on the farm with heat and a working coffee pot. Maybe sort of an "unofficial" bait station. on the second story.
