The smooth hen in the bottom pic is pretty. Frizzle is a genetic defect. Feathers don't function as they were intended to regulate hot and cold and protect the bird. I grew up with frizzy hair and didn't like it. Can't imagine those frizzy chickens are happy... or warm.
