I am back. I went to habitat for humanity store today. They had some nice windows.

I hate it when danger threatens like that, you never sleep, worrying all the time.

I miss when the dangers were...slightly warnable. Floods hit Calgary...tornadoes....blizzards....always some warning (even if it’s a little warning...) and some way to stay safe...

Earthquakes....when the big one hits there will be no warning or way to stay safe. Fire....nuts to that noise. Not much you can do but hope you’re able to get the flock out of the way. What stresses me out is I go to work. Work is 45 minutes from home. If anything pops up here...I can do nothing for any of my girls.

Sadly one of the higher ups has allergies to dogs. So bringing puppers to work is...well. There better be actual fire. And chickens. Yikes. How would I corral eight chickens in an office? Would not go well.
Even nugget, the salty cluck...would be up to shenanigans. She’d probably hop on the allergies guy’s drafting table and sass him all day lol. Ah well. Anything that pops up here would likely be squished quite quickly...proximity to calfire’s airstrip of choice here and all. Sigh. Just moved garbage/green bins to the backyard/dog run and the recycle bin is in the garage. Less stuff to chase when winds pick up.
