I googled “best dogs for kids” and then “best dog for kids and farm.” I was surprised that there were no overlapping breeds. It seemed one or the other. That just means I need several, for all the jobs.

I was watching a movie I had recorded but the last few minutes were missing. guess I’ll go to bed also.

Oh bummer! I love the way beagles look, but have never wanted to take one on. Every one I have ever known would run a scent all day. Take the family a week to find him and bring him home. Neighbor has 2 puggles, and if the gate gets left open, they are GONE. Thank heavens for microchips!
Boxers are perpetual puppies! Ridgebacks were wicked smart. If they wanted to go somewhere, they would just open the gate! Rocky, our bull mastiff mix, got out of his kennel at the vets (my mom warned them!). Sadly, they were storing the food in there, and he ripped open a bag and ate enough to kill him. They had to pump his stomach... close call. No charge!

Yes, several dogs are good. Good excuse to get several!

Our first lab as a married couple was smart like that. He was “free to a good home” and a year old when we got him. A few years later we lived in MS and would board him at the vet in the outdoor kennels with the stray dogs if the weather was nice, because it was cheaper. We warned them to put a lock on the door but no one remembered. He let himself out, then let all the other dogs out and they all had a great time. Luckily the were still locked in the big open run.

Everyone remembered to lock Gunner’s kennel after that.

I like that name. Still ice on the roads & lots of snow still. I think it will be easy to til in the garden after all this melts. I still don't have greens planted.

This puppers is on stray hold at the shelter. Bff put in an adoption application for her. Allegedly 2mos old vizsla mix.

good something Been up since 4:15 am. Evidently all the nap battles I lost during the day came back for revenge.

6 boxes packed and at the post office already. And the other 3 don't get shipped until after Christmas as Brett and the tribe will be in Canada for Christmas. I don't have an empty sour cream or cottage container left in the house.

Sent an email to IYak so we shall see if they can get their poop in a group. Evidently 19 has a secret yak cow fairy that magically drop a calf off for her to raise this year.
