Hi everyone. Just finished my 4th cup of coffee, so the cobwebs are starting to clear. Woke up to the sound of a key in in the front door. I was sleeping in the recliner so I just cracked one eye open and saw my youngest daughter coming through the door. Had a good visit.
Wishing, I got a pretty card in the mail from you yesterday. Thanks very much. And you're right, it's good to have the opportunity to know you and many others on Granny's thread.

Going out for groceries... trying to decide what to cook over the holiday. One son wants ham and scalloped potatoes, the other doesn't like ham and wants beef roast with potatoes. Wonder if I could find a small one of each and have both. I want seafood cioppino (Italian fisherman's stew), but neither kid likes that. Lamb chops are also an option. Too many decisions and too much cooking!!! Hubs will eat anything as will my dad. You think everyone would be happy with sausage and eggs? cereal?
Spaghetti tonight, so everyone will be happy.

Got my turkey last night. Wasn’t planning on it, honestly, but it was a freshie and the perfect size (under 11lbs) and a sell by Jan date so I figure I’m safe.

Work continues it’s gong show. Had the company vp on me yesterday about a “respirable silica program” and a document I had to finish up. So I told him would it be ok if I got it to him later Wednesday since I was on payroll duty. Okay yeah no problem no massive rush. (I should hope not, the last step of this has been sitting on your desk a few weeks!) so this am, right after the boss meeting he’s on me about it. I came in early to get time finished, then I was on a webinar for our year end stuff with our software...and then he’s jumping me for that. Ugh. So much for no rush. And the document was so ugly. Horrible horrible formatting, inconsistent numbering...all the stuff that makes ex biglaw assistant twitch. Just got it finished. Phew. Now to get caught up on all the other stuff that needs doing...

these trips just seem to keep getting longer and longer . OF course as soon as I get back there I hear it. Empty your pockets, pull up your pants and let me see your socks , dont flush or wash your hands til you hand me the urine. They dont even have a door , just a shower curtain. I hand it off and go back in the room . She comes in making small talk then she says Is there anything you want to tell Diane ? (NP) I said nope, anything you want to tell her ? She looks at me then giggles and says nope.

I feel as I might of stolen something today. We went to wal mart after drs to see if it was a better store and I picked a rug for under the coat hook dark brown shag . The sign said $15.00 but there were signs everywhere really. I went to pay and she rang up $30.00 ! I said whoo that not 30 can you price check? She called someone up and said sell it to her I guess I couldnt hear well and the woman looks at me and said how much ? I said 15.88 So thats what she charged . Guess you can make your own prices now.
Then after I paid I decided I was very thirsty and it was a long way home so I found an isle with only one person and I grabbed 2 pops and got behind her. We were all talking and then she tells the cashier just put her pop on my bill. serious ? That was a first for me.
