I could use a shower and clothes need washing but the dish washer is running. Feel like i could use a hot bath or a nap or both. We stacked up another big pile of pine and burned it. Another big pile of ash, maybe this will go in the garden.

based on their symptoms she deduced they have a calcium deficiency. Took about a week of vitamins to see the turn around

I used the chicken vitamins. Nutra drench? I think thats the name on it. It smell like the baby vitamins.

I was feeding the parent birds flock raiser and I dont think they were consuming enough calcium. Then when littles hatched they had some calcium but not enough to do them til growth. There isnt calcium in baby food or flock raiser so I added it . (not recommended ) unless you know for fact thats the problem. I experimented with these littles if you remember me talking about it . I gave them grit very early then meal worms then corn to fatten them and I reduced heat quickly. It all worked to make them feather out fast and retain heat but they needed the vitamin all along too

actually if I want to hatch some jubilees I need to do some research on parent diet and get started on that . Thinking of getting started with eggs come feb.
