I am confused they butchered it and then stuck in the freezer not cut/broken down ???Twist, this is what I was talking about yesterday. My dad has a whole freezer beef for sale. Would like to sell it as halves, but if I can’t then we will do quarters. This is a Holstein beef and halves are approximately 400 lbs. We are asking $2/lb for the beef itself and then you will pay Sanders for processing. We ask for $100 deposit to hold your half.
How long was the carcass hung for before freezing as it will affect the flavor and how tuff the meat is.
Personally there is NO WAY I would buy a 1/4,1/2, or whole beef that wasn't already broken down. Because they are going to have to thaw it , cut it down and then FREEZE it again.
