Granny's gone and done it again

I climbed up on the roof, thankfully we don't have a steep roof & couldn't believe how much snow was sitting up there from mainly Dec & Jan so far.
Lisa, that is a ton of snow! What a lot of work. Could you add on to the vent pipes so they will stick up above the snow?
OR maybe get a super steep roof so it just slides off.
hahahaaa Like this...

Seriously though, isn't there a neighborhood kid you can hire?
Be careful up there. :hugs

My bad, I did get Julie's dove. As GD says I begot. I've had 4 more chicks die in the last 2 days.
Sorry about your chicks, Jane.
begot :love

5 Inches of wet snow caused roofs to collapse here. It's going down to 16* here tonight. I couldn't make it in MI, Lisa.
16? That is unusual for your area, isn't it? We'd have all sorts of problems in temps like that. Not set up for it at all. Had a little rain today, overcast and 58 degrees right now (7:30pm). Warm weather came up from Baja.

Hi grannyland, hope everyone is well & staying warm. I've spent the day outside. Our high temp today was 7° feels like -8° Personally I think it felt colder than that lol. Have been busy all week trying to keep up with all this snow we've been getting & to get roofs cleared. Tried to move snow off the edge of the house with the roof rake, but my shoulders & back were too sore from yesterday to do it. I knew I had sewer vents & the vent for the kitchen sink that were needing the snow removed off of them. I climbed up on the roof, thankfully we don't have a steep roof & couldn't believe how much snow was sitting up there from mainly Dec & Jan so far. I got 2 of the 3 vents cleared & the roof edges cleared on the back of the house. It was really building ice up there so am very glad that I could get the snow removed form it. I have 1 vent to clear tomorrow & hopefully get some more edges shovel back. I can only do small sections at a time because I have no where for the snow to go that doesn't need to be cleared. Here are some pictures I took of the snow I pushed off. There is one picture of the roof that shows the vent I had to clear. Notice how much snow still needs to be removed. That has to be a joint venture with hubby or I wouldnt be able to get the snow piles cleared below.

And yes Pam you can start chewing me out for getting up there :lau:gig
Gosh, that looks close to 3 ft. deep up there. A lot of weight especially if it's wet.

I don't know. Maybe too cold. Only 3 of them left. Not en9ugh to keep each other warm. I have tarps up but the wind has been brutal. I put boxes for them to get in. They are 6 weeks old.

Camping, I didnt mean to sound rude earlier. Im sorry. I got some bad news today and its put me in a rather foul mood. Nothing I feel like talking about right now . Been crying half this blessed day . Just wanted to let you know smelling smoke on my card wouldnt upset me. :hugs Love you

Could you put in a heating pad for them?
