No, you still have to put the ball back in the slinger. But i got a whole bag full of balls so they can be rotated if goopy. The thing i got was not the expensive machine.

That's a good idea. All my chickens feel bony to me, so I would fail the keel test! I tend to go by how heavy they feel when I pick them up. Lighter than expected? especially compared to others. It will be good to have an actual weight on him to see how much he gains in the next week or so. I hope this is really all there is to it and he doesn't have something else wrong.

oh I just brace the ball between my feet and put the scoop over it and ready to toss again/ Maybe you have a different type.
