Granny's gone and done it again

It was a long time ago I seen the big one. I wonder if it was the Ivory billed woody. Not pictured here. Today I seen 2. the one you ID and the one with a rectangle
Ivory Billed is super rare, if not extinct. Only lived in the southeastern states. It's about 20 inches tall.
I think the big one you saw must have been some other type of bird similar to a woodpecker. Same for the one with a grey rectangle. All the woodpeckers are in Jane's picture.

cant see the pics unless I post them here. they are always as much a surprise to me as anyone.

It's hard to tell, but what looks like black and white on the wings is more Red Bellied Woody.
There is a way to view the pics on your computer so you can see them, but I'm not sure how. I have to get set up on my other laptop and figure it all out. Been using my old one since the fire. Change is hard. :(

I agree it was a red belly . No need for all that. Wonder if there is a place on the camera for a mini tripod ...

Hi grannyland, hubby, myself, my dd & SIL got the roof shoveling completed. Body is hurting big time. Hubby is really sore as well. I did the easy parts this past week, but hubs had to move all the snow from the front of the house. 3 roof lines come meet at the center of the house & that area has very little pitch. The snow swirls & packs in that area bad & it is so far to the roof edge. Here are some pictures of the piles below. Lots of snowblowing & shoveling to get pathways cut through them.

1st picture, front of house, note the front deck is still buried. 2nd picture is my back deck after all the snow was pushed off. 3rd picture is backside of house between garage & kids apartment. 4th picture is of grannies side lol. 5th picture is of the path I had to shovel out to expose the sun porch door & window. Was very hairy getting to the door. Had to dig myself out first. One leg sunk clear to the deck & as I was trying to get myself up on the pile by crawling when my arms broke thru the pile & I was face down in the snow. Little scary for a few mimutes. Didn't panic, got myself upright finally & then dug my leg out. It's done & I pray to God that it doesn't snow enough where we would have to do it again. It's hard when Jan, Feb & March are our heaviest snow fall months.
