Oh dear. Reality rears it's ugly head, and they're so young. But they will survive because the time with family is more important. I always told the kids to have a few choices for their Santa wish list, just for that reason.DD and bubba each asked Santa for “one thing” and neither got it. They had lots of things “from Santa” on Christmas morning but not the ONE THING they had each asked for. For some reason they thought these gifts would be waiting when they got home. Their poor little faces... bubba asked if they didn’t get the gifts because they were naughty. Broke my heart.
DD wanted the Barbie dream horse, over $100 at Christmas. It’s down to $80 now but still just way too expensive. Maybe I’ll look for a cheaper alternative? I just don’t know.
Bubba wanted a gorilla track for his hot wheels cars. $10 in the store, but apparently it’s the thing that everyone wanted this year. I couldn’t find one anywhere, and they were over $200 on eBay.![]()
