Is the BO unhappier in cold or hot?

Cornie is just unhappy period lol she gets really hot in the summer and spends a lot of time in the coop when it’s cold. She’s also not the best layer 2-4 eggs a week in the spring/summer. But she’s pretty

True but she wasn’t never the most productive hen in my flock anyway and they’ll be three in the spring. (Hence me getting a new batch soon)

Hubs is unimpressed with my numbers so far lol

Well isn’t this a handy FYI. Gotta drill drain holes in the coop floor first though. Ugh. Had a bunch of water pool underneath the nesting boxes and hubs sees no problem with that. Well the boxes are up off he ground. Yeah but when I’m currently fighting a freaking creepy crawly infestation and it’s a dark moist hard to clean out area under there...

Sigh. He does not see things in the biosecurity maintenance sense.

Another pullet died today. And its all my fault! How can i be so stupid? I thought her problem was Mereks. I was medicating for that. When she died i looked her over and she was loaded with red mites and eggs stuck on the feather shafts. Oh crap, i should have checked her over. I got out the poultry dust and dusted everyone . Now i need spray to do the coop and clean it out. I am so mad at myself. I hope i don't lose more to it.

And the good news is that i found a place to consign some of my signs so hopefully i can get some money from that. It is a second hand furniture store, i went in to take a look around. Not far from here.

I should have checked her sooner. But hopefully now the others won't die.
