Tom was just getting approved for SSD when I met him. I never seen him work. I guess he did odd jobs .
He was working with a brother and he went to a different state and his brother told their boss he died and took up a collection for his funeral. Tom got back in town and his boss was just a little shocked to see him. They both got fired.

one of my sisters called 2 days in a row. First day bragging about how much money she was getting a month between SSD and workmans comp. The one with cancer. She called back yesterday and I asked her about Campings fund raiser and she told me she just took a big pay cut .

How long after you met him til he had the stroke?

He had a heart attack after we were married 2 yrs then a stroke a yr after that.

21 yrs ago ? We have been married going on 24 yrs.

Getting it now. Took out teacher retirement to get dh through last year of college. Took out 20 years worth of it to put new roof & floors in den & kitchen in 2011. Dh didn't want me to do it but house was almost unlivible. We had been in Virginia for 5+ years. Now I only have SS & depend on dh income.
