Granny's gone and done it again

I would be afraid to say. I dont know what kind I bought but they need it done.
I still haven't wormed mine, and now they are kicking into egg mode. Dang jays have shown up and are already breaking eggs, so maybe I should try the wormer now.

you know how you can feed cats something that is repulsive to dogs eating cat turds ? I wonder if there is something like that for the chickens that would give the jays a hot tongue ?

Granny wonder if they need a higher protein to keep weight? I feed 20% in the silkie coop. The D’Uccle, Cochin and 2 LF sisters are fine bodywise but the silkies feel thin.
what is flock raiser ? I could look for some meat raiser I think . Good idea

I didnt get to the ivermectin today. I put new bedding down inside, fixed the cookie tin, gave corrid, grit and corn. I went down to a one gal. water for the time being. Out of grit. Baby grit again or regular ?
If they need corid, good they got that first. Should work in a few days if that was the problem. I knid of doubt mites are the problem, or the dead one would have been swarming with them. Still good to treat for that because the are more susceptible since they are weakened from whatever it is.
Offer both sizes of grit if you have it.

I wish! I have been trying to come up with an exclusionary device that the chickens will be brave enough to push through but scare the jays. Hanging strips of cloth or beads or something. The chickens might be too chicken to have something new like that, and the jays are just too smart. Wonder how many broken eggs I got today. :hmm
