Well. Our friend who also got plagued after koh did go to the doc. Confirmed - he’s got strep.

Well. Even when I did have universal healthcare I rarely went to the doc for that since I was so far out in the boondocks, if I felt like hades I wasn’t about to drive half an hour-forty five minutes to see a doc. I’ll keep an eye on me and hubs though and now that I know where our peoples are...I’ll take us in if I need to!

Though I do feel like I’m on the mend. I’ve got a bit more energy (not enough to run a marathon but better than napping all day all night), appetite is coming back (had a healthy lunch of kraft dinner today...first real food in a while) and as long as I’m pumping fluids throat doesn’t hurt that bad. Fingers crossed anyway.

Had one of my foremen text me on not doing a safety meeting this week. “Sorry I’ve been home sick most of the week, I’ll double up next week”

Star, stop being so damn stubborn and go to urgent care for some antibiotics. You here what Jane? said about scarlet fever ? This is what happens, You get strep and after a while you get better Yes even without drugs, But then Left untreated, scarlet fever, and next thing you know, permanent heart damage. All because you are a tough girl. Well guess what ? Heart dont care how tough you are. I dont want to hear excuses or anything else except yes ma;am I will go.

Yeah it cost us a pretty penny not going to lie. And it’s an ongoing paying too. You pay to get the application for hubs to petition for me. (Though he was only fiancé at the time) then you pay more to go to one of two locations in Canada - Vancouver or Montreal for medical (more money) and visa (I can’t remember what the actual visa itself cost...) then lost money selling my old house and car and moving expenses. Get down here have a courthouse marriage within 90 days of crossing that border mind you! And file more paperwork. That one was more expensive - 1200 or so. And a year ago I had to file STILL MORE to remove restrictions on my green card. They’re still processing that.

But I moved cause hubs is more stubborn than I and he didn’t want to move to Canada. Whereas I’m a base brat, I’ve moved enough times....what’s another move. Though I do miss Canada and Alberta like mad. The Alphine Psychosis as I call it has been acting up lately - want to go to the mountains and ski. Sure there’s big bear not too far away but I’d be solo down here.
Wow you truly love each other, that's a blessing. Sure hope you're feeling a little better.
