In detroit and my tiny yard there was 2 cement pads in the back by the ally. I went out there one day with a sledge hammer and thought to give it a go. (I used to be called HERcules ) The pad was 6inches thick and I know this because I busted that whole pad up. I then painted some and made a walk through the yard having to bury them as I went and had 5 yards of top soil delivered to the ally where I shoveled it into my new tomato bed. They grew over my head but didnt set a ton . Too much shade but I was proud of them anyway.

Gonna buy more pepper & tomato seeds wednesday when I get my funds. Can plant them til 3/1. Cherokee purple, Roma, mortgage lifter, sweet banana peppers, sweet bell pepper mix, maybe Cayenne. Oh yeah, Mr stripey mators.

Alright, total so far:

One golden raspberry potted

One gooseberry potted

Ozark beauty strawberries- two pots and two baskets.

Pineberry strawberries- 10 starts

Eversweet strawberries- 8 starts (2 were too big for the little pots).

White sweet corn- 72 seeds

Popcorn- 20ish

Yellow squash- 20ish

Yellow queen, evening sun, autumn beauty sunflowers (a mix, just finished filling the trays).

One of my strawberry boxes had an extra bag of starts! No clue what type they are. I’ll pot them tomorrow after I make more potting mix. I’m doing the “mel’s mix” from the square-foot gardening book because I still had tons left from last year. It’s equal parts compost, peat moss, and vermiculite. The compost is store-bought from vegetable scraps, or so it says.

I’m just going to plant all the seeds. Anything I don’t have room for I can sell or give away I guess

Nope, hamsters don't tolerate cold temps and i have never seen a multi colored one. I must have been thinking about that bunny i bought.

They had some wild hair ones at the rabbit show.

4 six packs of early green broccoli planted. 6 eggs only cause I didn't check again before dark. Went to 12 yo GD basketball tournament this am. They finished 3rd.
