Whoa, he had an MD and a PhD? That's a lot of college. Or maybe he just couldn't make up his mind.

#2's favorite teacher at school is some sort of genius type guy. He was a semester away from getting his MD, but decided it wasn't for him. Now he's teaching math to high school kids, much to our benefit. Kid has learned so much and learned it well. Physics and Calculus will be next year... my kid is so psyched about it.

Yuppers, he has BS MPH MD and he stepped down after Robert got too old for him and became a hospital honcho. Dr Jeffery Devries oakwood Hospital. Dont know what he is doing now.

MPH is a Masters degree in Public Health. Like commas, capitals matter.

You didn't miss any commas, just saying they matter.
Bachelors degree takes 4 yrs of study. You can get a Bachelor of Arts (BA) or of Science (BS)
Masters is an advanced degree after a bachelors. Usually take 2 yrs in a graduate program.
Doctorate is also an advanced degree. Length of time to get it varies, but a medical doctorate is usually 4+ years. PhD is a doctorate of philosophy. I know someone who completed a PhD in Biochemistry... took about 2 years of research and graduate work. It gets confusing.

some lady on FB was giving away her 2 polish roos and peeps were jumping on it wanting them bad so I decided to find out why. They are both hens and I told her so.

I read it wrong. Got confused what you meant until I saw it written. MPH (all caps) and PhD (h not in caps). Now you know why I didn't pursue higher education... well except for the teaching certificate (2 yrs) and half of a special Ed certificate. Didn't finish that because I got preggy and my baby needed me!

Yupper. At least 10 yrs. Maybe not all in a row. I bet he did the masters later over a longer period. That's why doctors get paid the big bucks. Big school loans after and the classwork is quite difficult.
