Granny's gone and done it again

Scary stuff Cap, glad none of them fell on your structures or vehicles. Think I would cut the trees back a ways from your house & stuff. The one drawback of living in the woods. Cutting back the trees to make a safe fire-free zone might be good too. You would be safer in the advent of a wild fire.
We have been doing that to some extent, but we love being up among the trees on our deck. We call our place Treetops. But hubby has cleared all the brush away at least 20 feet from the house in all directions. Its mostly just big trees left. And he has been cutting down dead trees, but there are a lot of them. 13 acres that have not been cleaned up for who knows how many years.

Hi grannyland, this is what I spent my afternoon doing. Two loaves of artisan bread.

Two loaves of banana nut bread & a new batch of pickled eggs for the guys. The hot pickled ones never even made it to the day they were supposed to be ready to eat. These are just plain pickled per hubs request.
