Wow, she will be big. My pup is 11 weeks. 15 lbs I think.19 lbs. I just did it.
it is! Lucasville trade days is huge. It’s at a fair grounds. It gets packed so bad that you have to park down the road a good bit. Our fairground started one maybe 10 years ago? They’ve been trying to gather more people. Not nearly as crazy as lucasville.Sounds great!
So sorry Camp, were these some of the ones that had leg problems? I am a firm believer of the heat plate warmer things. I used lamps the first year, then went to the heat plate thing. Wish I could remember what they are calledLost an orp chick a few nights ago and an amerecauna one today. One was so pasted I had to give it a bath. I actually thought it was some sort of weird infection, because it looked and felt smooth like skin. But then it washed away. I know it wasn’t a hot brooder because I was keeping it cooler and lowered the lamp after a few were damp. But I guess it was still too late. I’ve raised the lamp a bit again so they don’t overheat tonight.
as many deaths as you had she should give them to you. They were bad last year with the snakes and moldy feed. But in general I don’t. I also don’t usually have chicks this early. I bet later on they’ll be more vigorous. I’m getting her SS in May/June so![]()
