No, this is a fresh batch I picked up Monday. I don’t usually have issues like this and I’ve always used bulbs and lamps. I think I’m not able to check and babysit like I used to.



Would’ve been nice, for sure. But both times it’s been a week or so after I got them... long enough for it to be something I did wrong and not necessarily a stock issue. I really should just stick to broodies.

are her birds clean? Could they have something that targets young chicks with a high mortality rate?

Camping, my chicks love fruit punch gatoraid. I mix it 50/50. It will stain their mouths for a while .

Camp, this works well & it's more cost effective then the pkg. Plus it is readily available year around. I find our TSC stops stocking the packets after chick days.

their toes are shaped in a L . they still wont go through the pop door even for water. If I put them out they wont come back in to eat. One is blind in one eye and one died. 4 roos possible 5 . 3/4 hens

I think he did ya wrong. He knew and that’s why he sold the adults too.

No idea. This is her full-time job and I’ve been getting chicks from her for years. This is the first time I remember having a problem. Maybe they’re pullet eggs? Or old hens? Who knows.
