yes all of the eggs currently in the bator are silkie. There are 2 dozen the other 6 are due Saturday.

Long day. Granny went and did it too. Alley, chick was pipped this am so we went and picked up the meds and went to Orshlins where you dont have to buy 6. so 2 rocks and 1 SLW later we are home. With a bucket of KFC . I go to check on broody and little and its still done nothing. So I peeled its little ass out of the shell. It was more then ready. Took it and mama to the other 3 where mama fussed for them all to get under her. The little was screaming its head off and I checked it , Mama is a frizzle and baby is cold. She got tired of hearing it and pushed it out to die. I warmed it in my bosom and it settled down so I gave it back and at that time she wanted nothing to do with any of them and started peeking them in the head so she had to go. I added a higher watt light bulb and they seemed better without her. BTW, the SLW I so carefully picked out has a bum leg. I took it through KFC and asked them to fry it up for me. They asked if I wanted any sauce with that. Lady at the store was trying to impress me by hanging the chickens and telling me they were roos or pullet.

This polish mix dont look mixed. It already has a big poof and pretty . black/silver.
So, How old are the jub littles ? One of them crowed today.
