Get a stool to stand on.

I had to get stool to get into my bed. Using one in the kitchen brings a few thousand safety issues.

I have never had any luck selling chicks here. They just go to the feed store and buy them.

I used to hatch all the time. Most of the feed stores in the area didn't sell chicks. I usually sold out within a week of hatch.

These little bitties do not like the camera. And wyanrock tried to make a run for it when I had the door open...I’m going to have my hands full with her.

My bed is really tall and i am 5'6". I have a stool i use at times too.

I would love to have a wood burning cook stove. I cook three meals a day on the electric one. My electric bill is through the roof. If I could get us to the point I did not have to pay for electric I would be so happy.

I hate cooking on electric! Good thing hubby does most of the cooking. We usually had gas stoves. He didn't want to put one in here. Sometimes i cook stuff on the woodstove.

We had a neighbor come over with a wild baby bunny. Asked us what to do with it as they found one of their cats with it. I looked it over real quick and put it on the ground. Told them to let it go it will either find its way home or it won't. Neighbors were horrified that people who raise livestock would say such a thing. They figured I would take it since we raise rabbits.
Had to explain wild rabbits and domestic rabbits are not the same. I also had to explain that wild rabbits were illegal to possess in some states. I have a rabbit that produces babies that look like wild rabbits.

Long time ago, I worked with a wildlife rehab group. I went on a call to pick up a young wild cottontail that someone's cat had got, but the experienced people said if the skin had been punctured, rabbit wouldn't make it without antibiotics, and even then, it was rare. Probably have better antibiotics now. This was before the days of house rabbits and people taking them to the vet.
We do love our animals, and the instinct to help and save them is very strong.

It's hard to say. Layers of rules and regulations in this state... even enforcement officers don't always know.

Was a VERY long time ago, but I remember the stove being something like this one. Stove pipe came out the back.

What made you grumpy?

I hadn’t ate anything, and Mom was trying to “help” she wouldn’t quit talking. I was on noise overload. And the people that work there didn’t know where things were. So I just put the stuff I had back and left. I’ll go pick stuff up by myself one day. That way I have less stressors.
