Granny I had the sort of day that would’ve tickled you silly.
I had to have a follow up with my ob, and my “white coat syndrome” kicked in right before they called my name. I was trying to crochet but my hands were shaking. I started breathing in through my nose and out through my mouth, then counting backwards. I was so nervous about having high bp that I had a panic attack. I told the nurse and she asked about the crochet, I told her it was from mom’s brain surgery and said we should talk about Josie instead. So I showed her pics and we talked and she took my bp. 138/83. She said maybe I needed a fluid pill.
Doc came in and was nothing but pleased. He was super impressed with the weight loss and happy with the bp, for now since I’m still seeing the bp doc. I’ll go back to him in another 6mos for my regular yearly. On the way out I held up the blanket to show the nurse. She went to touch a daisy and instead just fondled my boob. But I didn’t say anything.
At Lowe’s I bought marigolds in the 6-packs for $1 each, nice and healthy. They had a whole rack of them on clearance. Then I went for a gallon of paint and while it was mixing a lab employee asked if she could take my pic. Really? Yes, you look really photogenic. Ok, what do I do? Just point to that caulk and say “yeah, this stuff is good.” LOLOLOLOL so that weird but she called my pretty, so obviously I did it. When I got my paint I went back to her and said “be real, was that like a social media thing?” She said it was for a sherwin Williams employee thing of some sort but she called me pretty a few more times so I don’t even care.
I also had really nice conversations with the cart guy at Lowe’s and the cashier at McD’s. I think spring was just in the air in Lake Charles, and everyone was feeling friendly.
