Hello anyone who is left. I have 55 pages to catch up on, so figure I will say howdy now just in case anyone is left.
Was busy all day today, and not home for most if it. Went to help my sister out with some things.
Best thing was what I saw on the drive home... a Golden Eagle!! My first one ever. I was soooo excited! Was driving by and saw the eagle standing on a dead deer lying 15-20 off the side of the road. Figured the deer had been hit by a car, and the eagle was chewing on its hind end.
No mistaking that it was an eagle. Huge bird with a huge head and beak, beautiful all over golden brown color. I even turned the car around and went back to get another look, but it had moved off and a turkey vulture was poking around the deer. I saw the eagle a little ways off and watched it fly into some trees. What a fantastic sight! A day to remember.
Granny, you know how this feels... same as when you saw your first bald eagle.
Going back to catch up. Got to see if Jane has new kids!
