yep they turn 2 weeks this evening.

Has it been 2 weeks already? Doesn't seem that long since they were born. Of course I'm not having to take care of them...

if its necrotic she needs to be culled . Thats why I need to know what it is.

It's really hard to tell from the pic. It looks better than it did, so that's something.

Hubby came up to the chicken yard while i was installing the bunny water system and brought an axe and an empty paper feed bag. I had told him i wanted to put down that polish pullet that couldn't walk. So i held her and he chopped her head off.
I did get back to work on the water system but it was getting dark so i was glad my impact driver has a little light on it. Managed to get the three of them done. One needs the spring adjusted but the system is working. This way Trouble has fresh water even when he pees and poops in the water dish. Idk why he does that, its gross!

Sorry about losing another chicken. How many do you have left?

It was the bestest feeling ever ! And every time I drive by that spot I look but I know I wont ever see it again .

You can bet I will be looking too. It wasn't that far from home. That part of the road has a view across our small valley and I live just on the other side. Only a mile or so as the eagle flies.

There is a Bald Eagle flying by here pretty much every day. I think it likes the river.

It is fishing in your river... fish is their main diet.

Was just thinking how proud I was that Josie had no accidents in the house today. Then I stepped barefoot in a big pile of green pudding.

Green? Has she been eating duck poop?

I know IZ passed away, but didn't realize it was over 20 yrs ago.

Yes, and I’m changing her food again to a large breed puppy formula. I mixed in a bit of the old because she got an upset stomach her first week here from changing food, but I suppose I wasn’t gradual enough.
