Granny's gone and done it again

Well, I got to head outside and check on 2 hens with dirty back ends. No way I could catch them during the day, so going to pull them off the roost and see what's up by flashlight. Hoping it's just poopy butt and not prolapse.
Ahh, another romantic evening at wishing's...

Goodnight to anyone heading off to sleep before I get back.

Hey, where's Pert? @pertnear09

Pert, your weather got loose out of your yard and is running amok up here. Hot today and going to be in the 80s the next couple of days. You need to call it back home! :D
Was that you that woke me up? Made a doorbell sound. :-) Yea all the rain we have received the last couple of days has chased out the high temps but I see where they're predicted to be back in a few days.

I saw that on the weather, how much rain is coming through Texas. I figured you wouldn't mind cooling off a bit, but yeah, you can have your hot weather back asap. :D

Give him a spoonful of honey
haha... One of our big dogs was such mooch. Rocky was half Ridgeback, half Bull Mastiff and he had an appetite. My brother gave him a spoonful of peanut butter one time, and Rocky was licking the roof of his mouth for the rest of the day. We kids were very entertained and he got a treat. Shameless that dog.

He was overnight at the vets one time, and my mom warned them to put a clip lock on his kennel, because he could get out. Apparently they didn't bother because no other dog had ever opened a kennel door there before. First time it happened almost cost Rocky his life, because after he set himself free, he broke into a bag of kibble and literally ate himself into a coma. They found him in the morning and pumped his stomach, but didn't have a lot of hope. Fortunately he pulled through. Wish my mom was still around so I could ask her if that vet charged her for the emergency procedure. :hmm

Oh, and for anyone concerned about my hens' rear ends... happy to report just poo balls, no prolapse. It's been rainy wet here, so they don't have a good place to dust bath and stay clean. 2 of them got a little rear trimmage. That was all I could handle for one night. Hubs was kind enough to hold them for me, but dang if I didn't have bend right over and get my nose down in there to be able to see clearly. :sick
I will do a butt inspection tomorrow when they are out and about to see if any more need attention. oh boy fun!
