Earthquakes are easier... everything falls down, so you know where the danger is coming from.

I have been in a couple earthquakes too Small ones Cracked my whole front wall out !

Granny your best bet may be a bathroom. Pipes may provide some protection. Hunker down in the bathtub with something on top of you if things get crazy.
