If it's this kind of thing, it's also a bait trap. You put it near the ant trail so they can take the food the back to the nest. They probably have to be opened some way.
The bait traps might take a couple of days and at first more ants might come to the bait source... that's good, means it will work that much faster.

Back from clinic nodules on right lung 2,1 nodule on left lung that is the most concerning. Dr said with the amount of radiation hubby had,he dosent think it's cancer, it may be pneumonia or scaring from COPD, emphazima, or a different cancer. So is going to have a biopsy just to be on the safe side. Tomorrow we see specialist again follow up on peg tube, yesterday was Dr/ surgeon for tube
