Granny's gone and done it again

I eventually caught three of them, so i have half the flock in the coop. The one that gave me the best work out was one of the wary two that are suspicious of everything. A lavendar i think they are called. She ran all over the place and tried to hide in deadfall a couple of times. She ended up in the big pile of logs the bull dozer pushed up behind the garage and workshop. Its dangerous, and i wish we could burn it but there are live trees too close. Hubby has been working on getting rid of it a bit at a time.

Anyway, i saw Wary Hen up on that pile and decided i was going to catch her come hell or high water so i climbed up there. She thought she was hidden. I sat the light down and pinned her against a log. And promptly slid my foot between two logs as the sand slid down between. There i am, guinea in hand with my leg stuck. Nothing nearby to pull myself out with. I got a better football hold on guinea and retrieved the light. I finally managed to haul myself out of there. I sure would have felt stupid if i ended up spending the night stuck there. Hubby was in bed by then.

I am going to the dermatologist in the morning, after i set up the brooder for the baby guineas. I might end up keeping some if the rest of the flock doesn't show up! Rather annoyed i could have spent time in the workshop instead of chasing guineas but i guess its good exercise!
