Granny's gone and done it again

Isn't that too young? Has Beth started weaning yet? Looked like she still has plenty of milk.

I have gotten mine at 6 weeks before. with out a problem. Not sure how much is milk and how much is cooper droop most of the "spigots" are becoming innies now.

they are all eating solid food and some seem to what to chew/play with Beth more then nurse. AND judging by the box NO one has issues pooping.
I was wondering more about socialization. I was told Belle and her litter mates were taken from the mom early (5-6 wks?) and was told later that being taken too young made her a difficult dog, poor dog social skills. I think a huge part of personality has to do with genetics.

I personally prefer to get mine younger as it seems to me they are easier to train and more "impressionable" if you will. BUT only if they are able to be away from momma that is. I know some people/breeders will disagree with that but that is my experience.

yep very jealous. and love the jubliees
haha Yes, you are land rich and tree poor.
Jubilees are beautiful, but for your needs, I would stay away from Orpingtons in general. Great chickens, like the Brahmas, but modest egg layers in my experience.

well currently they seem to like the adult dogs and their siblings are more like live squeaky toys that they love to chomp on . Other then Lena (first springer) I guess none of my dogs have ever been an "only child" and all of mine love people and children.

yep the brahma's are just my "eye candy" love the feathered feet and occasionally when they walk looks like a bunch of Rockette's practicing their high kicks
