Good to know! I have not tried to candle mine yet. I need to candle the guinea eggs in the home made bator and set the quail eggs i bought. Got 2 dozen for $10.

Those geese should figure it out and choose a different place to nest. Natural selection in action... no goslings to pass to on the DUH gene.

Well the island was good in a way, less predators. But they need a big tree to nest in at this rate.

Nice ! How long before your quail lay and can you set their eggs right away or are they like pullet eggs ?

They lay pretty good sized eggs right off. I will have to look on my calendar to see how old they are now. I came upstairs to relax. The pets were on my last nerve today. Cat keeps climbing on my TV tray and knocking stuff off or stealing it. Big dog was crazy silly and under foot all day, little dog making runs at the cats. Picking ticks off the big dog.
I need to find out where i can get Mini's hips checked.

I went out to check the littles and heard rustling and just caught the edge of a snake. It’s behind some shelving, so no clear shot. I weighted the brooder lids, and I just hope that they don’t trample each other to death to get away from it. Hopefully they have plenty of room.

Need to plug that LG bator back in and try to get it in the right temperature zone. Got almost another tray of guinea eggs to incubate.
Went to TSC yesterday, they had sold out of chicks. Guess chick days are nearly over.

thats what happened to the 5 I lost. TONs of room but they were scared . Damn coon. I hope I sell everyone of them.
