How long ago did you you get it? Most people are afraid to use that that word any more, even though it is the Spanish word for black.

Well, I didnt mean no offence . I just remember that being the name of a very beautiful flower . I knew it was Spanish for black

Oh I know you didn't. We had some trouble at a middle school where I taught... some kids took offense at Spanish speakers saying negro. They didn't understand what it meant and took it that racism was intended. It was happening all over the state at the time. Little bit of education for all cleared up the misunderstanding eventually.

Shouldn't give away my secrets, but I search through images to find what fits. The trick is to use the right search words. I used "black magnolia" to eventually find the nigra.
