I watered both gardens and checked on all the chickens. I had Josie off leash because all the coops were closed, then Jep flew out over my head and a hen followed him. We were in the breezeway and Josie watched them, but didn’t make a move. I had the door open so Jep could go in and when I turned around for feed every single bird walked out of there. But Josie was still fine. Then we went into the run so I could open the pop door. I had to do lots of resetting and hard verbal corrections, but she did not nip at a single bird. She was definitely headed toward them with intent, more than once, but I was able to call her back each time.

Now we’re both exhausted. Ok, only I’m exhausted.

they’re embden/Toulouse mixes. We’ve been having the hardest time getting them tho due to the fact that for some reason all the geese in Ohio have stopped laying and all the eggs either didn’t hatch or hatched super early, lol. We checked with three hatcheries which were all either sold out or didn’t have any due to the early eggs. Then we talked to someone on Craigslist about two hours away but turns it they had already sold the goslings. Finally we got these little guys who we found on Craigslist since no where else had them! But they do seem like they were taken very good care of...
