My little chick died last night. It just reminded me of it.

Thanks Star. Kept waiting for someone to ask but no one ever did. Thats ok I never remember stuff either. At least it died warm and comfy .Hugs granny. Sorry to hear that.![]()
That's terrible. She had a really bad headache. Doctor told her to take aspirin and call her in the morning. She was dead by then.
Golden Spangled HamburgMystery chick is not phased at all by the heat
Fire season already! yikes! Glad the wind was blowing away. How hot was it when the pics were taken? Your little BO does look hot, but it seems an individual thing. Our BO doesn't seem to be bothered by the heat, and she is old and fat! The golden sexlink would overheat easily, but other people with those said they were no problem.Calfire action about a mile from the house. Blessedly wind was blowing the other way but still closer than I’d like. When you can see the planes and choppers dropping...yikes. Props to calfire though. They got it under control right quick. Vegetation fire don’t think there was any property damage. Phew.
If you run the hose and soak the ground in the shade, they will dig down and stay cool.Thats what I said, GSH . Now did I say if it was a hen or a roo ?That's terrible.

The comb is really flat and pale, hardly any wattles and they are pale too. I'm thinking it's a pullet. Depends on age...Thats what I said, GSH . Now did I say if it was a hen or a roo ?
It was either you or me!Thanks Wishing. Did I run everyone off ?
