The only time one of mine had it was hatched and raised under mama Seramas. I think cold was the issue... some eggs didn't get covered well and chicks got pushed out since the hens were fighting over them.
I think the TSC chicks get cold during shipping, especially early in the spring. They are often weak when they arrive. My feed store won't sell chicks for 24 hrs to give them a chance to recover... get warm and drink lots of electrolyte water. They have less problems with pasty babies and fewer deaths.
Our TSC does the same here.

UTI is causing the kidney pain? Wonder what is causing those. Last time, didn't the antibiotics make him loopy? Did they prescribe the same kind?
No it was the actual UTI infection that caused him to be loopy.
Mine is running slow too. If I figure out how to fix that, I will let you know. Let me call #2...
