My chacos broke the other day. I was already getting new ones, so I’m pretty bummed that I won’t have two pairs, but DD has decided that I’m getting new chacos for mother’s day.

They are calling for heavy frost tonight, low of 20° The last 2 days have had icicles in the air. Where did spring go??

Temp was 94, should be 102. Up to 95 now. Giving salt solution rectally. Going to drench when he warms up more.

He had a seizure. Sally said to get him warm and keep him comfortable. No more enemas or drenches.

I don’t want to stress him. He’s on a heating pad under a heat lamp. He’ll be comfy until he’s gone, which shouldn’t be much longer. I sat with him until he started gasping, staring at me with his tongue out like a silent scream. So I’m folding laundry.

I called the vet. He said “goats don’t get ivs like dogs, but we can try.” I was telling him the injections and meds I gave and he asked if I’m a nurse. So I’m not wasting more time with them. Rather learn to do the fecals myself.

I did everything, but it wasn’t enough.

I brought him inside this morning. I should’ve done it last night.

Yes, he’s gone.

I'm so sorry Camp, you tried your hardest, it just wasn't meant to be. How are the kiddos taking it?

Roberts worker came today and told Robert he needed at least $20.00 . I asked what for and he wouldnt tell me so I gave him $35.00
I THINK I am getting a mothers day gift.

Hello all! Spent the day preparing for a chicken show on Saturday, also had to bring my ameraucana up to the vet's to see what was going on with her eye. Yep, she has glaucoma. It's not bothering her any, just felt like a kick in the knee because she is a pretty bird that I won't be able to show anymore. Well, at least I can finally say with confidence she's not contagious...

Sorry about Buckey Camping, you seemed to at least make him comfortable as he left.

A chicken w/ glaucoma . From an injury ? I havent seen any pics of your chickens.

We don't know what it's from, apparently, its not too common; at least around here. She may have been pecked by one of her flock mates, but there's really no way to be sure.
