Granny's gone and done it again

I have constant sticker shock. Still living in the 80s and expecting 80s prices, when potatoes were 25 cents a pound. It hurts every time I go shopping. Apples and oranges are up to $1.50 or more at most places. The gas station makes me cry... $3.50 and on the rise. And this is cheap compared to some parts of the world. Europe is really pricey.
Morning Wishing. $2.80 here for gas.

Hi everyone, should have said that sooner. Late morning again for me, plus hubs forgot to take a couple doz of eggs for a guy he works with. He texts me wanting to know if I wanted to do lunch & bring eggs in. I said sorry, lots to do today, no lie I have tons to do. With that being said I'm off to get stuff achomplished so I don't make myself into a liar, bbl. Hope everyone has a great day.

They removed that service from Craig’s list.
And just HOW did YOU know this? hmm?

I remember in the 60's that flip flops were called thongs.
Not everywhere. We moved from NJ out to CA in 1970 and I brought my flip flops and sneakers into this strange world where kids wore thongs (on their feet!) and tennis shoes even though they didn't play tennis. I refused to call them these new names, and like to think I helped change the culture here. :D I did however adopt the CA swimsuit and left my bathing suit back in NJ. Never wore it in the bath, so swimsuit was a better name. But flip flops and sneakers... well that's what they do! Why would you call them anything else?

Looked at them H2o, but they don't come in wide width :hit
It says to order the next size up for wide. I don't have wide feet, but a very high instep. I had Tevas (like camping's Chacos) and I had to use so much of the strap to reach over the top of my foot, there was only a tiny bit of velcro left to fasten them. That didn't last long. I am going to try the Telics for house shoes. Really need the arch support... just hope the straps are big enough for my tall feet.
