Could you go to a boot maker in your area and tell him your situation? Maybe he could build a boot to accommodate your foot

I probably wouldn't be able to afford it, hate spending $30 twice a year for the ones I have. I believe good footwear is essential to good foot health, but with not having a REAL job I don't like putting that expense on my hubby. He has to work hard enough, I just don't feel right about it.

Haha, hubs is the same with sandals, but when he owned a boat years ago he broke down and bought a pair to walk in the water. If he wears them for anything else, he wears white tube socks with them If he is going anywhere with me I make him at least scrunch the top of the socks down by his ankles

My last chacos were on clearance, but assuming they were full price at $100 and lasted two years, $50 a year, divided to monthly its $4.17 that I spent on something crucial to my jobs and lifestyle. I’d say that’s not a bad price at all. I can send them to be repaired for $15 per shoe, which I’ll probably wind up doing also so I have a clean pair and a farm pair.
