Granny's gone and done it again

Glad you had a good day. Does your hubs feel bad after the chemo?
I worked outside most of the day... refurbed nest boxes, completely cleaned out the bantam coop and evicted about 10 billion spiders. Webs everywhere! Did some transplanting and watering and caring for my old New Hamp hen that isn't doing so well. Super skinny. I gave her some scrambled egg and she devoured it. Will have to start feeding her special, I think, as she was perkier later in the day than I've seen her in a long time. I think she is having trouble eating the layer pellets for some reason. She picks through them, but doesn't eat. Have to see if I can fatten her up.
So sorry to hear have you tried cream of wheat, porridge , baby rice cereal:confused:
He seems himself we put in for iron infusion next week says he's feeling sluggish could be he's anemic,& underweight he takes b12 vitamin d sodium tabs

Oh, and I saw where the dopey Legbar has been laying under the Douglas fir, and got her egg... first one in weeks. Scooter found where the other Legbar was laying under a different tree, but that egg had already been broken, and Scoot had a good breakfast.

In all, got 9 eggs today :woot
Thats a lot of eggs for a retirement home

Long day, glad to be in bed. I drank almost a full gallon of water. It’s about 85 in the kitchen when the ovens are running, so there’s never really any relief unless I go home.
That's just too hot. You should get combat pay for that!

I gave the hen some wet feed and she devoured that too. Getting her to eat isn't as hard as keeping the gluttonous mob away and giving the skinny girl a chance to eat. The mob has some weird 6th sense for detecting any kind of treat and come running.

Glad your hubs doesn't get sick from the chemo. My mom had a heck of a time with hers. She was even allergic to one of the medications they were trying and would have died right then if it weren't for a very alert and fast acting nurse.
