Granny's gone and done it again

ugh. Time to become nocturnal.
Sorry about your quail. Was that the Mexican (?) one?

At least we got dry heat out west. Do you cool off at night down your way?

You can only do what you can do. Why do you think I never show pictures of my house? Think about it. I'm more messy than unclean, although lately the dirty is creeping in too. Too much to do outside anyway.
We'll be too busy doing stuff to worry about it.
Blessedly yes we cool off.

As far as the grapes it didn’t say it needed a friend, and I was hoping to have it climb the coop.

Maybe W4W can help get your mower back in shape.
It's on the list!

Planted the two plumerias. Still gotta set up the dripper on the rose where I moved it. Did some weeding. Chickens are also showing off the pomegranates we planted was it last week? Week before? View attachment 1450634
Plumeria #1

The rose it wasn’t too happy in a pot in front of the house so hopefully it does better down here

You can see the rose a bit and the caged off grape. Not gonna get anything out of it this year....it’s not going off as much as I had hoped, but what leaves it has look happy. I dunno.

One of the rocks may have tripped over herself...but here’s the pomegranates. Fenced off cause chickens are jerks.

View attachment 1450638The other plumeria. This one is white.
I love the smell of plumerias. My sis was trying to grow them here, but it's not quite warm enough... too much summer fog I think.

As for the rose and grape, I find that when I tranplant something into the ground, there seems to be an adjustment period where their growth stalls... maybe putting energy into the roots. Eventually they will take off. All my stuff is usually root bound anyway. :hmm

91 already.
95 at noon for us. Not sure hot hot it's supposed to get, but around 100. Paper says it will be 20 degrees cooler tomorrow. Hallelujah!

Yep, 94 here and it’s only noon, predicted 105.
:hit Are your dogs inside? Do they handle the heat well? Hang out in the the pool?

Blessedly yes we cool off.
When I lived in Davis (near Sacramento) I remember it being 85 degrees at 4am. Miserable hot.

Ugh! Went to Davis once - they have an annual Volvo meet there.

Pasty Canuck and Davis heat and sun in the beginning of May. Bad scene. I was a lobster!!

Well I learn something new about the grapes. Maybe I’ll have to see if I can find another one. Do they have to be the same variety I wonder? I don’t think I’ll be able to find one until spring again though. :/

No they dont. They will live and grow with one but produce few grapes. You wanna have a foot stomping party you need 2.
