Hubby wanted me to plant more of the tomato plants i started inside, so i did that today. Plus i pulled a lot of weeds. All my kale and cabbage was bug chewed and skeletal, i pulled it and put it on the burn pile. I am going to put black plastic on that area for a while to destroy any eggs left behind before i replant. I fed all the grass i pulled to the bunnies. Treat time!

Man, i am tired! I cleared off the table in the great room! No one has seen the bare table for 6 months or more.
I managed to get all the turkeys in the lean-to before i went down to work on the turkey coop. Yay!

why not the chickens for the kale and bugs ?

The kale was just skeletons of leaves, and the bugs did their damage and left. I did take one head of lettuce with bugs to the SS run and let them have at it.

Lifetime resources didnt call today, surgeon for appt didnt call. Dentist wants to fill Roberts mouth w/ silver and the white stuff for numerous cavity's that are invisible to me. I see one cavity. He hasnt been to the dentist in way over a yr. closer to 2 and he has only ever had one cavity in his life. I dont know if there IS a second opinion or not. Maybe in the city.

One of the buff laced polish had bloody stool today. So either worms or coccidia, right? I think i will treat for worms first and see how they do. I cooked another big vat of eggs today, this time quail eggs. I poured in some vinegar to see if it dissolves the shells. I fed a lot of eggs to the birds that i cooked yesterday. The dogs coat looks great, she gets an egg daily.

How old ? Cocci is a fast killer . Worms normally are not. I think cocci is much more common for blood in the stools then worms causing it.
OH, So moldy feed is what killed your turkey ?

Oh, i think the guineas are hatching! Lock down today and i could hear something running around in there. I need to get the last 2 quail that hatched into a brooder. They have been in the incubator for days. I put food and water in there for them.
