was she laying then ? I would guess bad stock. FTT chickens can live a yr or more if they are babied. Being too small for her breed points to it.

idk, she has been trying to go broody again all summer. I was getting quite a bit of eggs from them.

I found my battery, inside a box of screws! Yay! On the back of the mule. I put it in the plastic box because i was afraid it was going to rain. Duh.
I took the wall apart because it wasn't square enough and reassembled it. Much better! Now if i could find hubby maybe we could put the wall up.

I dont feel good . Pain and dizzy . I ate but didnt help. Robert just told me he needs his meds so trip to town in my future .

Hubby is pissed i am building another coop. What, did he think they were going to live in tractors forever? Anyway, i hurt my back more while i was getting chewed on about too many birds. Then later i found all the turkeys flew into the chicken yard so i had to get them out. And even worse, one of the cages of quail started eating a cage mate alive. I don't know if there was a wound from a fight but ick. I feed high protein gamebird flight developer, so they should not be doing that. Any way, i took the poor thing out, sprayed it with veterycin . Fed it nutradrench, put electrolytes in its water. In a cage by itself.
