Granny's gone and done it again

still waiting on the "yaksperts" as to weither Sue is a trim or not. If so I think my head hurts. I don't believe the 3 big boys were actually turned out with the main herd until latter.

And both Sheila and Porter are supposed to be Native /solids
I don't suppose Porter will want you checking down there to see what color hair he's got between his legs!

Can you check there on poor Sheila?

If it's a new color thing that Curly Sue is starting, you will have to come up with a name. Gray Groin? Secret Trim?
If she ends up being a freemartin, she's still a keeper. Can be your pack yak or used to help calm the herd down. Yak ambassador? Wild horses are calmer around people on horseback. Slap a saddle on Curly sue and you can be part of the herd!

TO me at least in the pic the royal reminds me of a young Janet. They have a few more pics of the girls on Yakzz.com and the 10 year old is the mother of the calf they are selling BUT changed their mind about trading. So there are pics of the mom with the calf

have seen no white on Porter when he has jumped the fence or galumphed around the pasture. And tbh Sheila is to far gone to get near enough to tell. But she was registered as a native black

I think "Secret Trim" could create a lot of "issues" ;):lau

well to get the 3 new girls I had to trade nip, tuck, superfortress and fifth. SO Tibbits for the moment is NOT for sale. I still have Wagoner and Nostril (probable meat) listed as well as Hailey and her calf as a unit and then Granola.
I am surprised someone would trade 3 cows for 4 baby males. Has the bottom fallen out of the yak market?

gestation is supposed to be around 8 1/2 to 9 months. Unless maybe Sheila's issues and Curly Sues small size were due to a premature birth :idunno
She looks a little small, but not very early if she was. Standing and nursing with no trouble from the start, and with mama having problems too.

Tibbets/tibbits and superfortress are full brothers.

I haven't decided if I like the look of the trims or not BUT the Trade was Right and a pretty much free way to replace Sheila and Enola with one to spare.
quick edit not trims but Golden

it has for the most part concerning bulls. UNLESS your doing meat. which I don't have the room for at least NOT really, I would prefer to be a "cow/calf operation"

hahaaa! Yeah, but it's the name you'd pick!

I just wonder how many animals might have the secret trim color that know one has ever seen because how often do you poke your head down there for a look see? I suppose it would show up on the hides of butchered animals...

When they DNA test them, do they test for those traits... trim and imperial and all? If they don't, wonder if they can.
