Granny's gone and done it again

Maybe she thought she was giving him helpful advice but I don’t want the runny dressing just the slaw so I use a fork.

The man is HOW old? You wold ASSUME he had enough experience eating that he would know what he likes and what works best for him. Busy body needs to keep her opinions to herself.

ummm, pot vs kettle ? :lau

Yes, I guess I did have . I thought it took grain out of the silo

Ugh cap. If I were closer I’d be your chauffeur.

Sigh. Annoyed that hubs gave away the pen we had for a “grow out pen”. Chain link kennel style thing with chicken wire on the top. Those bitties are already too big for the brooder but too small for the coop. I need to figure something out and quick.

I may just have to go buy a new one from tractor supply or something and threaten hubs with dire consequence if he gives this one away. Not the cheapest option but I need quick so...ugh.

Tasty though. I also have a bunch of welded wire from when we fence off the big girls run. Could section off part of the coop for that.

The birds have been waiting a long time. Anything i can get done today doesn't need to be done tomorrow. I did mount the door on one side. Still need another door. May have to build one. I need to cut a piece of wood to mount the last shutter on. And, i painted two boards i hope to use in the second run to attach the welded wire to. I had lots of company, the guineas and turkeys were keeping me company. And 2 dogs. Hubby came down to look for a minute but i already had the door up. Going back out after supper to cut the piece of wood i need and paint it. Maybe i can cut some security hardware cloth too.

Ok, last shutter is up. Sucker is heavy! I scraped the paint off the windows of the door. And i cut enough hardware cloth for the bottom foot of run #1. It was too dark by then to tack it on. And i worked on securing the back side of the coop where the wall meets the roof.
I need to build an inside wind baffle for the pop door and a ladder for inside and one for outside. I made the pop hole up off the ground so snakes will have a harder time getting in.
