Ran some errands and then went to Menard's to pick up that stove I ordered and made a list of stuff I need/wanted. FORGOT list and then forgot the second most needed item

DANGER SERIOUS RANT BELOW

Got a call from the family who bought the female pup this spring. ALL OF THE SUDDEN the vet's needed my "permission or some crap like that" to put the pup in other people's name. SERIOUSLY Then since I had her on the phone asked about which of my dogs might need rabbies and distemper shots. And they want 55.00 per dog to do a 'wellness exam" before they will administer the shots. BULL CHIT been down that road before and the Owner charged me 55.oo for ONE visit/exam and then gave ALL my dogs their shots.

Incase your wondering a "wellness exam" consists of them looking in eyes and ears and listening to heart and checking teeth. THAT"S ALL oh and weighing the dog.

I can and am able to give the dogs their shots myself.

I wouldn't call it sleeping. But yeah, i will be in the truck.
I figure a couple more hours and i will be ready to go. Have to do all my chores. Having a cooling break again.

I was pretty much caught up last night... for once.

When does CB get there?

That stupid hawk has been coming around scaring the layer hens. Yesterday afternoon I went out because someone was screaming incessantly.. Walked around the corner of the house and NO CHICKENS, but there was that pesky hawk sitting on top of an upturned stock tank. I yelled and ran at it and chased it off. Then hens stared popping out from under the tank, which is propped up about a foot off the ground on one side. After about a few mins, I realized only half the mob was present and started looking around for the rest of them. Looked all over the place, didn't find anyone. Then I lifted up the tank, and the other girls ran out. They must have been a little traumatized. Stupid hawk.

Hawk was already out there this morning. Scared it off, but the poor mob is spending most of the day under cover. I am not happy about this. Wish the hawk would move on. The jays are out there now, so I'm not too worried, but they are not as aggressive as during nesting period. I need to train a bigger hawk to scare this pipsqueak away. It's not big enough to carry anyone away, not even a Serama, but it certainly can kill.

they want the pup BUT the vet refused to see "their" pup until I notified them. Evidently she is in "season" and of course they never bothered to keep up on her shots.

He said 8 pm. We will see.
Sorry about the hawk. What kind is it ? Smart chickens. Probably wont get eggs for a couple days though.

Are they local? Maybe they were doing the shots themselves?
